'Adapting to Change'
What would life look like without change?
Without change, life would remain stagnant — predictable, repetitive, and lacking growth. As Dr. Dennis O’Grady explains, “Change has a bad reputation in our society. But it isn’t all bad — not by any means. In fact, change is necessary in life — to keep us moving, to keep us growing, and to keep us interested.” His words highlight an important truth: change is not something we can avoid, but something we must learn to embrace.
Change is an inevitable part of life. Whether planned or unexpected, it constantly shapes our experiences, challenges our perspectives, and pushes us beyond our comfort zones. Even when change is carefully prepared for, it can still be difficult to accept and adapt to. People may respond with excitement, fear, uncertainty, resentment, or a mixture of emotions.
In a world that is always evolving, adaptability becomes an essential skill.
Adaptability is the ability to adjust to new situations, integrate new information, and modify behaviour in response to changing circumstances. It allows individuals to grow, overcome challenges, and succeed in unfamiliar environments.
